H&M Fantastic Stitches

Our story

Taught by my daughter, one stitch at a time

H&M Fantastic Stitches is a mother-and-daughter business, and it began the way the best things usually do — by accident.

My teenage daughter fell in love with crochet first. She taught me, and what started as her hobby quickly became the thing we did together: two people, a pile of yarn, and an evening that went by far quicker than it should have.

Somewhere along the way it stopped being just practice. We found we loved making things that were cute, a little bit silly, and genuinely fun to hold — ducks in every colour, loaf cats, a dragon or two. We ended up with more than we could keep, and it seemed a shame not to share them with people who’d enjoy them as much as we do.

So that’s what this shop is. Every piece is crocheted by hand, by the two of us, in a smoke-free home. Because they’re handmade, no two are quite identical — a stitch here, an expression there. We think that’s the point.

How we work

Most pieces are made to order, so there’s a little wait between you ordering and it arriving. We think it’s worth it: you get the colour you actually wanted, made for you rather than pulled off a shelf.

We also sell a few of our own crochet patterns as digital downloads, for anyone who’d rather make their own. Those arrive straight away.

If you have a question, a custom request, or something isn’t right, please get in touch — we’d genuinely rather hear from you.
